Acting – Fright Plight – Gerald Wood
Have enough actors but they just don’t sizzle? Want to add to the depth of your haunt? Ever wish people would just not say “BOO”? Fright Plight gives you tools to educate your actors. Including handouts and visuals. Topics to include:
The use of public, personal, and intimate space.
Four Psychological Laws of Fear
Four Kinds of Scares
Scare Timing and Effect
Trauma and A Good Time
That’s not all! As a BONUS there will be a discussion on the importance of character development to bring out the monster in even the most timid individual. This class is for owners OR actors!
I am a graduate from THE Ohio State University in Interpersonal/Organizational Communications. I operate in a town of 4,200 people. I am over an hour away from any town over 100,000 people. I have run Shotgun Manor Haunted Attraction for the Sullivan Ambucs (www.ambucs.org) for 4 years with gross receipts totaling over $110,000 with a net profit of over $70,000. Our initial investment of $4000 was returned before the haunt even opened with the use of advertising and sponsorship. We have recruited over 1000 different volunteers in four years to help work in one aspect or another. We have never paid any of our actors or staff.
