Business – Haunt acting and reacting and why it works – Jeff Simmons

Tired of getting new actors each year, in the first half of this class we’ll cover different strategies on how and where to recruit the quality actors you’re looking for. Also we’ll cover how to maintain your veteran actors with things such as delegation, awards and recognition, year round involvement, non haunt related teambuilding activities, and many more topics to ensure your staff remains loyal to your attraction for years to come. The second half of the class will be focused on training your actors with a variety of different techniques, such as que line acting, improv, skit related scares or story room scares, my essential ten rules every haunt actor must know, the five laws of fear we’ll cover it all. If time we’ll close it out with an open ended discussion, so everyone can share their tips and tricks.

Started off home haunting later to commercial haunting, ran the trail of torment haunted trail in Clio, Mi for two years. One year at Nightstalkers Haunted House, 2012 will mark my 5th year at St. Lucifer’s Haunted Asylum in Flint, Mi where I work as an actor manager, as well as head actor trainer. In addition this year I Opened Scareacters Haunted House Actor Training, a company offering acting seminars to haunts across the nation.
