The show floor contests are back for 2015 – here’s the skinny!

The MHC MYSTERY BOX Build Challenge!

  • The contest will be held on Sunday starting at 12:30 p.m. on the Midwest Haunters Convention trade show floor located in the Columbus Convention Center.
  • The ultimate test of haunter creativity… what amazingly terrifying prop can you build in one hour with the contents of a “Mystery Box”? You can be sure there will be many twists and turns in this extreme test of your Halloween skills! Entries will be judged on Craftsmanship, Creativity and  “Halloween Feel.”
  • Limited to first 6 Teams of 2 – Cost is $25 to enter Per Team. Get the Entry Form HERE, fill it out and email it to jen@haashow.com.
    • First Place: $75 cash
    • Second Place: $50 cash
    • Third Place: $25 cash

The MHC Prop Display Contest! Booth 237

  • Saturday Sign up and Voting (9:30 am – 6:00 pm)
  • Sunday Sign up and Voting (10:00 am – 1:30 pm)

Contestants will be able to display a prop that they have created.  These items will be on display at the show Saturday & Sunday and judged by show attendees. The total cost of all items used in the prop must be less than $200. Any Midwest Haunters Convention attendees may display in this contest. Display and entry begins Saturday at 9:00 am, with winners announced at approximately 1:30 pm following the MHC MYSTERY BOX Build Challenge on the Midwest Haunters Convention trade show floor located in the Columbus Convention Center.

  • First Place: $75 cash
  • Second Place: $50 cash
  • Third Place: $25 cash

The Midwest Haunters Hall Costume Contest! Booth 237

  • Saturday Sign up and Voting (9:30am – 6:00pm)
  • Sunday Sign up and Voting (10:00am – 1:30pm)

Photos will be taken of the coolest costumes and makeup being worn on the show floor and then judged by show attendees. The photos will be displayed until Sunday when the winner will be announced. Any costumed MHC attendees may enter this contest. We will begin taking photos at 9:00 am on Saturday.

Winners will be announced at approximately 1:30 pm following the MHC MYSTERY BOX Build Challenge on the Midwest Haunters Convention trade show floor located in the Columbus Convention Center.
