The closest airport is the Port Columbus International Airport located MILES away from the convention center. A taxi between the airport and downtown costs from $20 to $25. Those interested in renting a car will be able to find most of the national rental-car companies at the airport.
A recent addition to the streets of downtown Columbus, the CBUS provides FREE connections to lots of shopping, dining and entertainment options from German Village to Victorian Village. The route travels north-south. Major destinations include:
• Arena District
• Columbus Convention Center
• Short North Arts District
• Brewery District
• German Village
• Ohio, Palace, Southern and Capitol Theaters
• North Market
• Columbus Commons and Scioto Mile
• Downtown hotels
The schedule runs every 10-15 minutes depending on the day and time you’re traveling. Operated by the Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA), special CBUS signs are posted along the way to distinguish it from other fee-based bus routes.
Direct bus service connects Downtown and Port Columbus International Airport.
After exiting the highway, buses will drop passengers at the Columbus Convention Center,Hampton Inn & Suites, Hilton Downtown, travel south on High Street with access to Crowne Plaza, The Lofts and Drury Inn & Suites, east on Chestnut accessible to Red Roof Plus+, south on Third Street serving Renaissance Hotel with access to Residence Inn, Sheraton Columbus Hotel at Capitol Square, Holiday Inn Capitol Square, west on Rich Street to north on Front Street, serving DoubleTree Suites and Courtyard Downtown. Buses return to High Street via Nationwide Boulevard serving Columbus Convention Center once more before an express ride to Port Columbus International Airport. COTA AirConnect is $2.75 per trip.
